Volunteer

Over the past year, libraries and schools have done service projects for Stella’s Secret Stash. Glenview Public Library made “Happy Hats” for Hats made by studentsthe children in the Pediatric Unit at Advocate Lutheran General’s Children’s hospital. Nelson Elementary School’s Student Council made bows for all the children in the NICU and Pediatric Unit. Northern Illinois University’s Cheerleading squad made bows for Stella’s Secret Stash. The Maine East High school Gifted/Lyceum Program made Stella’s Snuggies, beautiful blankets, for the babies in the NICU. St. Mary’s Catholic School in Woodstock, and Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois also took up a collection of hats and bows in Stella’s memory.

If you have a group that would like to donate hats and bows, or do a service project, please email us at: stellassecretstash@gmail.com

Many people have asked if we only donate to children in the hospital. While most of our donations do go to these children, we also provide hats and bows to children with special needs, who aren’t in the hospital. We are happy to see all children being “Stellafied.” Who doesn’t feel their best when they are accessorized!
